I surely can't be the only one guilty of this! I just couldn't help it. These products were literally calling my name, it would have been rude of me to just walk away! It started at Sephora when I went to pick up a gift card for a friend:
In addition to the gift card, I ended up leaving the store with this. Damn you, Sephora! Making me spend my hard-earned money on make-up yet again ; ). I actually don't think I can walk into the store without buying something for myself. Anyways, this time I picked up Urban Decay's Sustainable Shadow Box full of 10 beautiful eye shadows, a mirror, a brush and a travel sized bottle of UD's Eye Shadow Primer Potion (below). And the case is made out of sustainable bamboo so I thought by buying this not only would my eye makeup look amazing I would also be contributing to earth's greater good. Ha! I'm not allowed to use the shadows until Christmas Eve. (Says me).
I have the regular sized Primer Potion and love it. This one will be great for traveling.
Next I went to Winners to shop for my Grandmothers. I always seem to find the best deals there. In addition to picking out a photo album and gloves for one Grandma and tea cups and saucers for my other Grandma, I came across this Nicole by OPI nail polish in 'It's Gold Outside" for $6.99. It's a great color to wear during the holidays and looked so lonely on the shelf so I had to snatch it up and take it home. I'm saving it for Christmas Eve as well.On my way to the check-out counter I found this Elegant Eco Conscious Bamboo Collection Round Brush with natural bristles for $10.00. When this one was calling my name it had a Brooklyn accent. And I'm a sucker for accents.
Then it was back to Sephora where I decided on the spot that of course I need a toner! And I need it now! Last week I started using Biotherm's Biosource 3 in 1 no-rinse cleansing micellar water that purifies the skin, tones and removes eye makeup. It really makes my skin feel fresh and clean and it smells really nice, which isn't always the case with skincare products. And I love that it's a toner and makeup remover in one. It was a bit pricey at around $33.00 and it's the first toner I've used but I'm impressed so far. Do you use a toner? Which one?
My mini shopping spree ended at home. Online. With these shoes. Oopsies.
I fell in love when I saw these beige faux shearling Straugter boots online at Aldo where it stated that the heel was 1.5 inches. Yeah right. I bought them but when they arrived in the mail and I tried them on the heel was way too high, I'm talking 3.5 inches. I can't walk in that high of a heel! Just putting them on made my back feel like it was out of line and gave me a headache. So off they go back to Aldo. Sorry, little booties!
I should mention that I actually completed all my Christmas shopping for family, friends and coworkers, I didn't just spend my money on myself! It's called multi-tasking ; ). Have you done any Christmas shopping for yourself? Or is it just me?
