Another successful season of Western Canada Fashion Week ended Thursday night and I know I'm late in posting this but I wanted to highlight the designers that really stood out for me on the last three days. (To see highlights from the beginning of the week click here.) First up: Malorie Urbanovitch who never disappoints! Her F/W 2012 collection was full of beautiful pieces in earthy tones and forest greens. Click here to see the video.

I adored this skirt. I have to say as much as I liked this collection, my favorite designs of Malorie's are from her Spring/Summer 2012 line which, lucky for me (and other Edmontonians) is now available at Coup Boutique!
I really enjoyed Derek Jagodzinsky's F/W 2012 LUXX collection, which was very structured and cohesive, with a perfect color palette for the season. What I love about Derek's designs is that they are always gorgeous, modern and absolutely wearable.
I loved the jackets in Calgarian Aleem Arif's Bano eeMee F/W line. They were beautifully constructed. I especially want that jacket on the left! ; )
My favorite collection this season was Angelique Chmielewski's. A native Edmontonian, she is now living in New York after studying at the world-famous Fashion Institute of Technology. Her F/W 2012 creations hit the runway on the closing night of WCFW and wowed the audience. I mean, look at these clothes!
I could see myself wearing every single piece! I seriously died and went to designer heaven Thursday night in the front row of Angelique's show watching the models float down the catwalk in her exquisite silhouette's. I really can't say enough good things about this designer and I can't wait to see where she'll be five years from now.
Hairstylists Lauren Hughes and Kirsten Klontz who did the hair for both Malorie and Angelique's shows.
Bloggers extraordinaire Sandy from The Pretty Secrets and Janis of Dress Me Dearly on closing night.
Now that Fashion Week is over my life can get back to normal and I can catch up on simple things like sleep! I do love seeing my blogger friends every night and watching the talent on the runway but WCFW is 8 days long every season and I think it could definitely be shortened to 4 or 5 days. That's my two cents.
I hope you had a great Easter weekend! Unfortunately I have to work today : (. To be honest with you I'd rather be at home eating leftover chocolate and watching movies on the couch. Or shopping : ). Both would suit me just fine right about now.
