WIZKID DROPS JAIYE JAIYE VIDEO..........

Nigeria's rave of the moment the fantastic kid wonder known to all as #Wizkid whose real name is Ayo Balogun has dropped the new video for his banger if a hit, Jaiye-jaiye where he featured one of his idol- Femi Kuti. 

The video directed by Sesan, sees the hitmaker in the forest as a caped hero. He is later seen driving around town in a Bentley singing about his plans for his parents and crooning about the changes in his life since hitting it big. In the video the #starboi is seen channeling his top idol Fela, wearing the ankara pant and later on the top looking cool and then performing with Femi at the world famous #african shrine. 

In our opinion, we think its a simple, easy does it video without any unnecessary gimmicks. What we particularly love about the song itself is the reflection on how far now he has come from the days of yore and how thankful to God and appreciative he his.

This is our hilarious day starter featuring very hilarious Wizkid, undoubtedly Nigeria's most sought after performer presently and he is surely having fun unparallelled. Flying around the world from one venue to another, being mobbed by crowds and legions of adorable fans, most especially gorgeous damsels. What are world to live in, we sure envy him.

And because he is a star, he gets to have most things that we would give an arm & a leg to have, one of them is the freedom to do whatsoever he likes and it would be seen as being a star or some look at it as eccentricity.

The first personality we are featuring on our picture of the day segment today is none other than the nos 1 guy on the Nigerian music scene right now, and that personality is the incredibly gifted Wizkid. 

We couldn't stop laughing on seeing this picture of him. All doled up looking very girly. It's either he has gotten another endorsement to be one of the very famous 'Painted ladies' that are always like the main feature at all Playboy parties or he was just having fun all by himself. 

Anyways after seeing him all 'made up', it's obvious that if he was a 'girl' he would have passed as a fine one. Check out those very pink lips and how the mascara and eye shadow just transformed him.

The message seem to be that you cannot outdo me. That's the current friendly rivalry that we think is going on now amongst the A-list reigning musicians in Nigeria. Obviously them 'pepper' don rest so if you have too much money at hand, What next to do, blow it on the supposed status symbols like cars, houses etc.


Twas Wizkid that first woke everybody up very recently, when he acquired his Porsche Panamera 4-door Turbo car, undoubtedly it is a statement car. Costing several millions. That seem to put out an alert which everyone got. Though he crashed the car (some have speculated that he got the first Porsche from Akon, who he is supposedly signed on to. But that's not as if he cannot afford the car though). Days after the crash that totally wrecked the car the Star Boi, launched another Porsche in the place of the crash one, showing he meant business and that he is not one of those trying to survive no more.

In between that time, the Chairman himself, MI launched his own statement automobile, a Bentley this time around. From all indications, a brand new car, that must have set him back by several millions.

Also to establish his new status as one of the hottest in the land currently, Iyanya Mbuk also launched a new addition to his garage which already has a Range Rover, adding an E350, 2012 Mercedes Benz Saloon car. He also owns an Aston Martin from what we hear. 

Now it's the turn of the only ''Omo Baba Olowo'', wait a minute there's also another Omo Baba Olowo in the person of Lynxxx. But the one we are on about now is the one and only 'DAVIDO'. 

He seems to have taken this automobile war to another stratosphere. We hear he has just acquired a Mercedes Benz G-wagon. The new monster of all the monster is an AMG G55. For a 20 year old who lives in 'his' own multi-million Naira monster house and already owns a monster Audi Q7 car that was valued at 12 million Naira last year (a more conservative estimate would have been #10 Million Naira) and now a car that starts from about $120,000 (that's about #18 million Naira) still moving up. The young dude seems to favour White cars. Things are surely looking fantastic for our musicians oooo. So who is next in line for mega show-off ooo? 

What's up with their Movie world counterparts? We don't seem to hear of all this kind of things (New cars, new homes etc) going on.

Lagos|Nigeria,  July 2  2013: Nigerian pop star Wizkid has spoken out against his continuous impersonation by fraudsters. The hit maker, bugged by increasing complaints and reported incidents, says he's worried and beyond scandalized, that some bandits would go to any length to perpetrate evil acts and defraud innocent fans and customers.

The EME act spoke today in Lagos, while reacting to on-going investigations on recent discoveries and arrests. 

“It’s unfair that fraudsters will take advantage of unsuspecting victims.” he said.

‘The culprit has been apprehended and all is being done to make sure such incidents don’t reoccur.” Wizkid added.

An EME impostor is currently in police custody. He was handed over to the police by his latest victim- Muyiwa.

Muyiwa also known as ‘Origin’ started transactions with the impostor, only to discover he was being duped and quickly handed him over to the police.

Meanwhile, EME Chairman Banky W who has himself been a victim of impersonation, says the label is putting all structures in place, while working with relevant authorities to make sure the trend is put to a stop.

Fake names, phone numbers and bank accounts have been set up to carry out such fraudulent activities. Some of the fake accounts these impostors use include "Bankole Wellington Banky W" on Facebook,Bankyw82@yahoo.com, emeonline82@yahoo.com,godwintom1@gmail.com,starboyentertainment@rocketmail.com. The only authorised contact for EME is bookings@empirematesentertainment.com

“Impersonating artists and record labels is apparently the new 419. This is not a unique problem to EME or it's acts, but a serious challenge to most major labels/artists as well as the fans and event organizers. We've done the best we can to streamline our processes so that anyone, anywhere can contact us at Bookings@empirematesentertainment.comor at +234 818 000 0000 and know that they have right information.” Banky says.

“It saddens us to know that crooks still try to take advantage of our fans and supporters but we are doing all we can to put the right info out and we hope that everyone takes note, so as not to fall into their traps.” He adds.

Wizkid does not take bookings or accept engagement payments into his account. He can only be booked through EME and/or his manager Godwin Tom.

The label says the Police will still apprehend more fraudsters.

WIZKID GETS NEW PORSCHE?

Obviously Star Boi aka Wizzy, the one an only Wizkid is obviously doing extra ordinarily well. After crashing his Porsche Panamera S about 2 weeks ago. Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid seem to have forgotten about the crash and has supposedly taken delivery of another Porsche. 

He posted the picture of the new Porsche on his Instagram page this morning from all indications, captioning the picture #blessed. 

Congratulations to him. But like a Yoruba saying ''If you yam done done, you suppose cover am chop'' Enough word for the wise......

WIZKID IN BAD CAR CRASH, PORSCHE PANAMERA BADLY DAMAGED

 Rave of the moment, the one and only Wizkid just yesterday afternoon Friday, June 14, 2013 escaped death and injury by whiskers. Accident scene was the expressway junction just opposite the Oriental Hotel on the Island. The car involved in the bad car crash was none other than his nearly one month old monster car, the Porsche Panamera 4-door saloon that he took delivery of a few weeks ago. 

We heard that in the car with him were about 2 female companions, who with the star musician escaped without a scratch. According to those at the scene, Wizkid was the 4th person to have been involved in a crash at that same spot that day. 

Yesterday was sure a bad day for the fantastic musician, who is having the best season of his life right now as a musician. But we thank God that he escaped a bad situation with his life and body intact. For that car to be back on the road several millions would have to be expended. We hope he had a comprehensive insurance. As to what caused the accident or what was causing the accidents, we couldn't readily ascertain. 

At least it's the car that got damaged, not our beloved Wizkid.
