Last minutes preparation are been sorted out now as we speak. It is planned to be a glorious event and we promise to bring to you all the smallest/minutest details. 

We are looking as we speak now at the long rose pink invitation envelope that contains another pink pack which has the gold invite with the pink lettering on it, it also has the very small pink access card that would admit the bearer of the iv card into the event venue. Without this card, no access whatsoever.

Venue is already very well known to all, so we don't need to harp on that. Just in case you weren't invited or can't make it for one reason or the other, stay glued to us and we would bring to you all the happenstance at the occasion.

JIM OVIA SET TO BUILD THE BIGGEST MALL IN NIGERIA AND AFRICA

The man Jim Ovia needs no introduction whatsoever. He is one of the richest Nigerian ever, in fact he is one of the top 40 richest Africans. He is reportedly said to be worth conservatively close to a Billion dollars. With massive investments in real estate, banking, communications, recreational center etc. 

The astute business man from what we have just heard has major plans in the pipeline to increase is investments and worth incredibly in the next few years. On going as we speak is a multi-storey office building project where the former La Casa Lounge/cigar bar used to be, the imposing office building is at the Lagoon front on Ozumba Mbadiwe in-between the Civic center & Caverton Helicopter office opposite the Law School. 

According to the gist the next in line to be built on the same axis not far from one of his properties -the Civic center, is a 5-star hotel, the hotel is most likely going to be called the Lagos Marriot or Marriot Hotel, Lagos, which we hear would give all other hotels on the island and by extension Lagos a run for its money. One of the unique features of the upcoming Marriot Hotel from the gist we could gather is the super sized, super luxurious event center that would be built in it. The idea is that the Civic center is too small for some types of events, so the need to build a bigger more prestigious event venue.

The third project that we have heard that is uppermost in the heart of this great businessman and investor is the building of the biggest mall in Nigeria and most probably Africa. According to our bird in the air. This 3rd project is planned as a colossal one and it also planned to be built along the Ozumba Mbadiwe axis, where Mr. Ovia is said to own massive acres of land from where the office complex project is currently on going right now to somewhere close to where Cactus is right now, some even speculate that the landmass stretches further than we are thinking. 

All things been equal all of this projects are planned to be on ground in the next 5 years at most. See vision oooooo. Opportunity to employ thousands of people from the labour market.

FEMI OTEDOLA'S GORGEOUS DAUGHTER SET TO TAKE OVER LAGOS THIS WEEKEND

UK based female DJ, Cuppy is set to take over the City of Lagos come Saturday 23^rdNovember 2013 as she will be performing live at Prive Lounge on Karimu Kotun Street, Victoria Island. The delectable A-list act flew in from New York where she had gone to perform at a private function. The year 2013 has seen her grow in leaps and bounds as her hit single “I love My Country” continued to inspire youths at home and abroad; she was appointed ambassador for the Ministry of Tourism’s, Fascinating Nigeria project. Cuppy also represented the Country during Nigerian Day at the World Tourism Market in London where she performed to a diverse crowd.

In October, Cuppy released a mixtape titled “Forever Summer”, which began with a jazz rendition but quickly switched to the monster hit “Khona” by Mafikizolo and other huge summer bangers by artistes such as Psquare, Olamide and Swedish House Mafia. She is known for her signature style of blending local Afrobeats with Western House in what she terms “NeoAfrobeats”. The event slated for Lagos this Saturday at newly opened club, Prive, will further go to showcase Cuppy’s skills on the turntables.

She will be joined by other A-list celebrities and fun lovers.

 3 of those who added a year between yesterday and today, that is Wednesday November 20 and Thursday November 21, 2013 are the President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Aaikwe Jonathan, GCFR, GCON, award winning entertainer Davido and Ghana's bombshell Nadia Buari.

Dr Ebele Goodluck Jonathan is Nigeria's 14th head of State and currently the country's President.  He was born in Otueke, in Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa State on November 20, 1957. The current President of the most populous black nation in the world clocked 56 year old yesterday. 

Dr. Jonathan is in charge of the country at a period that is one of the most critical times in world history. We are hoping that by the time he finishes his tenure, either in 2015 or 2019 this country would have begun the journey to our Eldorado.

The other birthday person is ace entertainer David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido, the son of the Billionaire business man Adedeji Adeleke, who is the brother to former Governor of Osun State, in the person of Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke aka Serubawon. The young man who clocked 21 year old today, was born on November 21, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Davido is currently one of Nigeria's most sought after entertainers. His current hit 'Skelewu' is mega-hit all over. 

Last but not the least is the gorgeously beautiful and deliciously stylish, Ghanaian bombshell and beau? Of Jim Iyke in the person of Nadia Buari. The Ghanaian actress, who is one of Africa's best export to the world clocked 31 year old today. She was born on November 21, 1982. The award winning actress has done many films too numerous to mention.

ADIEU LINDA GODWIN RIP! THANKS CHIMA ANYASO FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT

We lost a very dear friend and a gallant fighter a couple of days ago, for some of you our readers, you might have read or heard about her, we even asked for support to help her fight the battle sometime ago on this platform. 

Linda Godwin 24, daughter, wife, mother of a son passed on after her painful fight with cancer. When we went to check her sometime ago at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-araba we came face to face with what it was like to give a good fight to stay alive and from the little we saw she did try her possible best. The young lady apparently sometime long ago detected some lumps in her breast and went to have it checked only for those that did the check to tell her it was none malignant, so she shouldn't worry. Thinking all was well and not having another opinion a proper one at that, is why she's now dead. 

By the time she found out it wasn't benign as she was made to believe, but truly malignant the battle was already half way lost. Not having the kind of supports and correct information needed and even funds, she first went to the wrong place for treatment. She had sort traditional help which didn't help ,in the course of looking for treatment the right breast got terribly bad that it fell off on its own. Her right arm and the left breast had also become affected. The right arm became swollen and she was in constant, most often unbearable pain. 

On hearing of her plight we did our possible best to get help and funds together to see, whether by a miracle something could be done. In our call out for help, only a few people responded and just a few people made promises, but only one person redeemed the promise he made and that person is none other than young philanthropist and humanitarian par excellence Chima Anyaso. Not only did he respond, he even followed us to LUTH to see Linda. Not just this he followed us also to a ward at LUTH where he paid for the treatments of all those in the ward, patients, nurses those taking care of the indisposed ones couldn't believe this. They thought they were dreaming of this intervention from a total stranger, that this couldn't have been real. We are talking about some patients needing to pay hundreds of thousands for treatments. 

Till Linda passed on some days ago, Chima remained a shoulder to rely on. It was with pain in all our hearts, but in total submission to God that we have accepted that Linda has gone to rest. To say the truth, her pain could only be imagined. 

We pray that God would finally grant her that rest that she so earnestly wanted. We can remember her lamenting when we saw her that ''abeg this pain is too much make person even die'' that CRY brought tears into our eyes, we felt her pain. 

Please please and please everyone, Cancer is for real oooooo, IT'S NOT A JOKE OOO. For the women check yourself before you wreck yourself and for the men too, Prostate cancer is for real too. 

According to what one of the Professors at LUTH told us when we visited, an early detection can go a very long way in saving what could become a bad situation. So ladies check your breast for anything usual and get proper diagnosis.

 We very nearly forgot to mention that Abisola Kola-Daisi who is the first daughter and eldest child of the current Governor of Oyo State recently gave birth to a bouncing baby girl in faraway United States of America on Sunday, November 17, 2013. 

Abisola Kola-Daisi nee Ajimobi had gotten married to her beau Kolapo Kola-Daisi, one of the sons of Ibadan multimillionaire Chief Kola Daisi 3 years ago, on November 6, 2010 at one of the weddings of the year then. In fact Kolapo is Chief Kola Daisi's youngest son. The perfect gentleman and soft spoken chap is a top investment banker at Heritage Bank, where we hear the Saraki's hold substantial investment, while Bisola owns and runs a first class luxury shoe & bag store Florence H located at Shehu Musa YarAdua street, on Victoria Island. Unconfirmed report says she's also a very influential special assistant to her dad. The new bundle of joy arrived just 10 days after her parent's wedding anniversary, the 3rd one at that. So wedding anniversary & birthday are just 10 days apart.

The gorgeous mom & new daughter are said to be in perfect health. A very well deserved congratulations to the family on the newest addition, especially to the action Governor of Oyo State on the birth of his new born Grand-daughter.

The whole town had been agog preparatory to this traditional wedding (Engagement) ceremony. Plenty of things had been said about it all over the news and social media. One of those things said was that the occasion was going to be chaired by one of Nigeria's richest men, in the person of Otunba Mike Adenuga, though he didn't attend at the end of it all, but was ably represented by the MD of Glo. Another thing spoken about was the preparation for the engagement, the cost of the aso-ebi, the guest-lists and much more. Finally the event has come & gone and it didn't disappoint.


The event finally happened on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Ark Vicinity, located opposite the Vantage Hotel, Block 3, Okunade Bluewater Zone, off Remi Olowude street, Lekki area of Lagos on the Island, the same spot where Tiwa Savage & Teejay Balogun would have their own engagement also. Many friends & family members of the couple went all out to show support. The aso-ebi was sown in many gorgeous ways by all those that came. We learnt that people had fun galore at the event  and from some of the pictures we have seen. It must have been a fun-filled event all the way. 

Anyways, the event was coordinated by the duo of Ngozi Akintujoye & Omorinsola Arogundade of Perfect Coordinators, while the venue decoration was by Wedding Guru.

Many of the friends of the duo in the entertainment industry  and outside were at the event to mark the register.
